Most new developers don’t realize that you won’t be useful on the dev team until you’re 6 month or a year into your job.

You just won’t be able to understand the code base, team methods, tools, and peculiarities of the tech stack fast enough. New devs are a training investment.

That company will want to make sure you’re committed and competent long before they hire you.
