That’s the golden question. Thanks for writing up this post and all the criteria you’d look for in a replacement.

It is interesting that languages generally diverge rather than converge. They multiply instead of standardizing. It’s the classic paradox. Even if you built the perfect language, somebody would find some reason to build a competitor for different contexts and preferences.
